Northwest Cycling Club

NorthWest Cycling Club was formed in November of 1986. Since then the club has grown from approximately six members to an average membership of 350. The club is famous for its rides. The famed Saturday Morning Ride from Zube Park is a part of Houston cycling tradition.
Whether an occasional recreational rider or a top notch USCF racer, you can find a group to ride with every Saturday Morning. The club also offers a weekly Wednesday ride at Bear Creek Park. The ride starts at about 5:30p.m. and, during winter months, lights are suggested since it gets dark quite a bit earlier. Park in the lot off of Bear Creek Drive near the golf course. This 6.5 mile loop makes it easy for riders arriving from work to pick up with a group. The traffic density is low and the roads are shaded and in good shape. Watch for special training and/or education classes to be held at Bear Creek Park on Wednesday nights during the summer months. Please check out the website for more details.
